About the project
The animation was funded by the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (HFRI, www.elidek.gr) project "4MOVE-U" (Forward Modelling the Variable Energetic Universe) grant agreement 2688, which is part of the programme "2nd Call for HFRI Research Projects to support Faculty Members and Researchers. 4MOVE-U is hosted at the National Observatory of Athens,
Institute of Astronomy Astrophysics Space Applications and Remote Sensing.
The animation uses observations from the eROSITA X-ray instrument aboard SRG, a joint Russian-German science mission supported by the Russian Space Agency (Roskosmos), in the interests of the Russian Academy of Sciences represented by its Space Research Institute (IKI), and the Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR). The eROSITA instrument development and construction was led by the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics (MPE).
